Business Systems Analyst, Common Assessment
Base Experience
University degree in computer science, business or related discipline
Five years business systems analysis experience
Minimum three years web application experience
Three – five years case tool analysis (e.g., Rationale Rose, CASEwise) structured business systems analysis and design experience
Experience in analyzing and defining requirements for architect enterprise applications/components
Skills / Knowledge
· Extensive knowledge of multi-tier, service-oriented systems
· Ability to synthesize complex requirements from multiple stakeholder groups, reusing application components for different user groups as appropriate
· Expert knowledge and experience in interpreting business user requirements to formulate system use cases and system design specifications
· Up-to-date knowledge of trends in structured business system design methodologies and templates
· Good understanding of information and business analysis and modeling
· Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and decision making capabilities
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively with clients
· Track record for completing deliverables within tight deadlines
The following would be considered major assets
Previous health related and /or government experience
Knowledge of Long-Term Care and Community Health issues
Summary Deliverables
· Document capabilities (User interfaces, functionality, data and reports) as configured and delivered in first release of common assessment software
· Provide guidance, methodology and templates to business process design team in their delivery of business process requirements
· Gather appropriate business, IT and stakeholder input for design issues and options
· From business user requirements, produce business system analysis deliverables (system use cases and design specifications – leveraging existing common components and artifacts
· Present deliverables and obtain appropriate approvals
· Evaluate integrated solution options, co-ordinating with and leveraging from other eHealth initiatives
· Align solution with eHealth architectures
· Provide input to application configuration and implementation planning
